Augustana Care is a nonprofit faith based community providing housing, healthcare, spiritual care, and services to aging adults. We are currently seeking a Temporary Golf Tournament Coordinator to assist with one of our favorite and fun fundraising events. For more than 121 years, we have inspired others to live the life they choose. Part of our mission is to provide support through philanthropic activities. We would like to bring aboard this Part-Time person to work now through the end of July/beginning of August. The hours are flexible - 15 - 20 hours per week. 

Coordinator Job Duties in partnership with the philanthropy team:

  • Finalize pricing (sponsorships, fees, day-of package)
  • Set regular internal golf tournament team meetings
  • Prepare all marketing materials and facilitate distribution
  • Prepare “Save the Date” postcard emailed to past participants, boards, and staff
  • Prepare and mail the brochure
  • Mail/email all Silent Auction appeals
  • Staff Golf volunteer committee and recruit members as needed
  • Communicate regularly with golf course regarding contract requirements, updates, staff, etc.
  • Distribute weekly reports
  • Send personalized thank you letters to all vendors, volunteers, golfers, silent auction donors, successful silent auction bidders, and sponsors
  • Coordinate and facilitate the “day of” activities as well as the wrap up of the event

Skills / Requirements

  • One to two years experience in leading or assisting leadership in successfully implementing nonprofit fundraising special events preferred
  • Proficient in use of technology to track activities and data including skill in Raiser’s Edge or DonorPerfect and all Microsoft office products (Excel, Publisher, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)                                                            
  • High degree of accuracy when reporting facts and figures. Detail-oriented
  • Comfortable interacting with donors and sponsors
  • Energetic with ability to multi-task and complete work within deadlines and budget
